LAND USE PLANNING

SMART GROWTH - The Washington County Planning and Parks Department, in cooperation with the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC)and the University of Wisconsin Extension, has been  working with the Town of Farmington to complete its 2035 comprehensive plan.

 

Several meetings and discussions have taken place between representatives of SEWRPC, Washington Cty. UW Extension, the Town's Plan Commission and Town Board.

Aug. 24, 2010 The town board met to approve revisions to the following zoning ordinances:  NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Farmington, Washington County, WI., will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 immediately following the 7:00 pm public hearing at the Town Hall located at 9422 Hwy 144, Kewaskum, WI 53040.  The subject of the public hearing will be to consider two revisions to the Town of Farmington Code of Ordinances, Chapter 5 Zoning Ordinance: #1.  Remove Sec.13-1-45 (g) Livestock Facility Siting; #2.  Add Sec. 13-1-84 Special Non-Conforming Uses.

On March 11, 2009  between 6pm - 8pm  the town will hold an "Open House" to review the draft chapters of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

   2007
