Members of the Plan Commission are appointed by the Town Chairman to serve a three-year term with:
The Plan Commission consists of 1 Town Board member and 6 town citizens, appointed in April by the Town Chairman for staggered 3 year terms, except for the Town Board member, which is a 1 year term.

The Plan Commission for the Town of Farmington meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm on an "as needed" basis .

The Plan Commission of the Town of Farmington reviews all land divisions including minor divisions, subdivisions and provides a recommendation to the Town Board.
