 MORATORIUM  -.

At the  February 17, 2004 public hearing  the town board passed a resolution to adopt a one year rezoning moratorium.  The town board supervisors felt that a moratorium should be put in place until the zoning ordinances have been updated and coincide with the master plan and map.

 ZONING MEETINGS -

The town supervisors along with plan commission members have been meeting to discuss changes in the zoning ordinances along with ways to update the master map and plan.  With assistance from Kevin Struck, Washington County UW-Extension's Growth Management Educator the group has agreed to explore the possibility of hiring a consultant. This consultant would help the town in updating the  master plan, map and zoning ordinances until such time as the Town's "Smart Growth" comprehensive plan is completed in spring, 2008.
